Working for a leading and innovative Instrumentation company who have an excellent reputation in the Oil and Gas industry. We seek an individual with extensive O&G industry experience capable of creating strategy and developing new business opportunities. In addition, this role involves servicing a few specific national and international strategic accounts, all of which are in the UK. The candidate must be a self-starter and be able to manage across all the companies processes to gain the desired results.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • To develop and grow UK O&G business, with a particular focus on emerging technologies such as hydrogen and CCUS that are driving the transition to clean energies.
  • To devise and implement O&G strategies in close liaison with the Marketing Manager – Products & Industries
  • To maximize existing business opportunities with cross selling and via intelligent product segmentation
  • To identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • To network and interface with the Sales and Marketing processes to ensure coverage of O&G customers outside your direct responsibility
  • To work closely with EPC Contractor Manager and associated Tendering Team on O&G related projects to ensure all influencers are covered.
  • To cooperate and interface with Business Drivers from the Service and Solutions processes to promote Value Added Services and Solution opportunities within O&G accounts.
  • Work with Marketing Communications to plan and manage internal & external seminars, lunch & learn sessions, and exhibitions.
  • Participation in the company global industry network and if appropriate in SIG O&G (Strategic Industry Group) to identify gaps in our offering and hence influence future product development for the O&G industry.
  • To monitor, measure and react to changes in market trends, market size and market specific legislation, providing clear strategic direction to the UK sales organization.
  • To identify and develop the complete supply chain associated with the O&G industry including end users, OEM’s, EPC’s etc. This will involve considerable networking with the OEM Sales Team, the EPC Contract Manager and when required, associates based overseas.

 

Qualification + Profile

  • Technical engineering qualification, minimum HNC level, although relevant experience is essential.
  • Thorough knowledge of O&G industry, applications, and legislation
  • Good contact base within O&G industry
  • Knowledge of Control & Automation, both practical and market orientated.
  • Extensive sales experience
  • A good level of marketing experience or willingness to learn.
